LCD TVs with IP ratings, allow them to be used outdoors, normally under some kind of shelter, for example, hotel and pub patios. Please check the IP rating as these vary. IP (ingress protection) have two digits. The first is the degree of protection against dust or objects, for example, 5 is protection from the amount of dust that would operate with the equipment; 6 is dust right. The second digit is protection against moisture, for example, 5 is projection from water projected from a nozzle; 6 is protection against heavy seas or powerful jets of water; 7 is protection against immersion. Therefore, as an example, a screen with IP65 rating gives protection against dust and water from a nozzle, whilst IP66 rating gives protection against dust and heavy seas or powerful jets of water. Please note that Wedgwood only supply monitors, plasma screens, and projectors to businesses, government bodies, educational establishments and charities. We do not sell to private individuals.
